At my early age......

A while ago, I was day dreaming, And a familiar lyrics were stuck in my head...
naaah! may nacompose kasi akong kanta nung nasa 6th grade pa ako, pero kaunti nalang naaalala ko. Kaya nga biglaan lang akong napaisip at gusto ko ulit alalahanin yung song.

And it goes like this....

My name is.....

I’m Roanne Janine Quiambao , well, perhaps that’s the only name my parents have given me since birth. Obviously, I don’t use it for informal circumstances. But I always use RJ Quiambao for my identification.

Many wondered why I am named Roanne Janine, yep, that thing…. there were times other professors called me “MR. ROAN” after reading the attendance list during the first meeting and they're like funny because they are always in a "shock mode" whenever they see that the person they called is a girl. HELL-O!, which was really weird And yes, I’ve got this brief history of my name. And then I asked my dad, to tell me a story about it.
è ROANNE-  RODRIGO (Rhody) (my dad’s name) + ANDREA (Anne) (my mom’s name) = ROANNE
When they’re still in their boyfriend- girlfriend days, they used ROANNE to label their belongings.
They've decided that their first baby will inherit this cool name. And obviously, the winner was me. My dad said, they have this second thought of naming me ROANNE because I’m a girl because some people use ROAN for male names, that’s why they have this choice to name me ROXANNE which was indeed very appropriate for a baby girl, but my dad disagreed and conclude that it’ll not be a ROANNE anymore if they changed it to ROXANNE, knowing that it’s so seldom to meet a person named ROANNE back then, And he also wanted my name to be unique and different.
è JANINE- they said, there was this famous singer back in the 80’s and 90’s named “JANINE” that’s Why they have this idea of naming me after that singer. (which was really nice)

And that’s it, as I grow up, my friends called me differently:
è In our house they call me JHA/ NHINE/ ROAN/JAN
è My high school friends call me JHA/JANINE
è My close friends call me RO/ROE(row)/ RJ/ NHINE/JAN
è My college mates call me ROANNE/JANINE/ RJ/ROEN

You see, names are not just names, but they’re as important as the person who owns them.
